Level 5 is a luxury-hotel complex with many different unique rooms that can pop-up throughout the level, in a direct contrast to most other levels found within The Backrooms. The hotel appears to be straight from the 1920s. This level has a constant lonely and unseen feeling. Feelings of being stalked are very common throughout the level too. Paintings across the level can sometimes change, it could be as simple as a figure in a painting changing pose or a painting becoming a completely new painting entirely. The level is at a cold temperature.
The Main Hall
Upon first arriving in the level, you will almost always end up in the main hall. It contains many red pillars laced with fine gold, a carpet that is very soothing on the feet and many potted plants. A stunning chandelier looms over the entire room, casting a warm light that bounces off of the soothing beige-yellow walls. Red armchairs are also scattered about the area. The front desk is empty but behind it lies the entrance to the rest of the level.
Guest Rooms
Guest rooms are usually the same room everytime you open the door to one. They all contain a bed, a window that is typically blacked out (on very rare occasions it can look into Level 11), a chair right next to this window and a desk. Family rooms also exist but they are more or less the same, with the exception of one larger bed and a few extra normal beds.
Hallways
Most hallways are either a grand, long hallway with red banners, fancy lights and a lovely luxury carpet, or a dark, dimly lit corridor with white walls and a red carpet.
The Swimming Pools
Grand, luxury swimming pools can be found across the whole level. They can range from an average swimming pool from the 20s to an infinitely deep pit of water with the only light in there being from the lights in the ceiling. These pits can be useful though if you have clothing suitable to swim in as these can lead one straight to Level 7, skipping Level 6, or on rare occasions straight to Level 12. The infinite pits are rare though.
The Ballroom
The ballroom is an enormous room that is completely empty apart from a single table and set of chairs in the middle with a chandelier hovering over it. This room creates very, very uneasy feelings and an overwhelming sense of paranoia and anxiety. This room should not be explored any further than finding the closest exit to it.
The Boiler Room
The boiler room is accessed through the maintenance halls. The maintenance halls are long hallways that are very claustrophobic and very reminiscent of Level 2, although they contain different elements to each other.
The way to enter these halls is through a very rare door that says "Staff Only", but it could be in other languages, these being French, Dutch and Spanish. The only way to enter these is through brute force, the doors are always locked so you need to break them open.
As for the boiler room itself, it's large, cluttered and filled to the brim with old machinery. Just like the rest of the level, it seems like it came straight out of the 1920s, with very vintage machinery and intertwined industrial pipes littering and clumpking up the walls. The temperature here is pretty high (about 40 degrees celsius) and there's an obnoxious humbuzz in this room. Blazing, large smoking furnaces are also here too.
Entrances
The main entrance is a long, narrow hallway in Level 4, where the carpet begins to fade red and jazz begins to enter into your ears.
An elevator in Level 3.
Some hallways in Level 11 will lead back here.
Exits
The main exit to Level 5 is a rare door that once opened is completely shrouded by shadows. This leads to Level 6.
Climbing through a window that mirrors Level 11 will lead there.
Falling through the floor in the ballroom area will cause you to end up in Level 5.6 (no link yet).
An infinitely deep pool can lead to either Level 7 or Level 12.
